Dyan’s Classes

Wow! What a weekend that was!!! Dyan really gave us our money’s worth! She never stops. Even with a bad back on the second day, she taught an almost non-stop 8-hour class! This woman is a real champ.

I really enjoyed all three classes. We didn’t finish many of the pages. These were all technique-driven classes. Here are some of my favorites. (click on images to enlarge)

I’m just to the right of Dyan.

She’s the tall one in the center of the back row, with the RED hair.

Now you can see why it took me a week to recover! Was it worth it? You bet!!!! The next time Dyan is in the area, I will be the first one to sign up. As it turns out, I actually WAS the first one to sign up for these classes! I had wonderful table-mates for all three classes. That made the whole experience just that much better. Thanks, Laura and Doris! It was just three of us at our table right up near Dyan for the first day’s two classes. On Sunday, Rene joined us. I already knew Rene from other classes we’ve taken together. She brought homemade oatmeal-chocolate chip cookies! Bless her heart. We all had a blast together.

Dyan is a great teacher and a lovely person. She was very patient and shared as much as she possibly could in the time allotted. And then some! Pop on over to her blog to see some of her work and get to know her a little better. She’s a bit crazy…and that’s one of the reasons I love her so much! She’s a lot of fun but also knows how to get down to work and teach her very best. If she is ever in your area, take at least one class, although I recommend them all. Tell her Raine sent you.

Oooh, lovely pages! It will be interesting to see how those techniques you’ve learned inform & transform future pages.

How much fun that looks. How far do you have to travel to do these classes? The pages are so bright and beautiful!

Thanks, Jackie! For these classes, the store is about an hour from my house. A little longer than I like to drive but not too bad. If I have to go farther, I usually book a hotel for the night between classes. These are little mini vacations for me!
