New Class, New Art!

I recently started taking an online class taught by Carolyn Dube, called Stencil Play.

Here are a few journal pages I made using papers and techniques from these lessons. (click on images to enlarge)

Playful Papers from Stencil Play

The diamonds and phrases on this page were cut from pages I painted myself. In fact, the diamonds were made using stencils I made myself.

Stencil Play - Coloring Without Lines

These houses are from a stencil by StencilGirl Products.

(No, they don’t pay me to say that. I just happen to LOVE their stencils!)

Stencil Play - Stretch Your Stencils

This dragonfly is from a stencil I cut myself from a photograph I got in a Google search! I attached the one on top with Pop Dots to give it some dimension. All of these paints are iridescent and loaded with shimmer!

Check out Carolyn’s blog and her class information. She’s a terrific teacher and a swell person! Meeting her is on my Bucket List. I think we could get into a lot of trouble together!

Thanks, Carolyn! That means a lot to me. I like to support women who are pursuing their passion. Having a blast at it, too! I think I’ve got my mojo back!!!

Hi Raine!! I’m in Carolyn’s class, too … just haven’t started playing yet. Thought I might get to today, but real life keeps stepping in the way. I’m really enjoying all the work that is being posted … very inspiring! I especially like your dragonflies!!!
